H&H Metal Fabrication was proud to support the reinstallation of the “Missouri Botanical Garden Blue Chandelier,” a Chihuly sculpture displayed at the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis. For this project, H&H fabricated the attachment mechanism used as part of the chandelier’s temporary relocation and reinstallation during the Garden’s renovation.

The Chihuly sculpture, “Missouri Botanical Garden Blue Chandelier”, that has hung in the Ridgway Visitor Center at the Missouri Botanical Garden is being relocated to the Climatron temporarily as the Garden continues with its multi-million dollar renovation.

The sculpture consists of 928 individual blown glass pieces. Each one is hand removed by a crew member with Denny Park Fine Arts out of Seattle. Because of the nature of Chihuly pieces, only people specially trained and certified are allowed to handle them. The workers will also put it back together in the Climatron after is has been cleaned, hopefully in January.

This project reflects the kind of specialized custom fabrication work H&H is equipped to handle. When a project involves unique requirements, one-of-a-kind components, or close coordination with other specialists, precision and reliability matter.
